To Silent Visitors

Okay, it's come to my attention that a lot of people I know have been visiting here and not posting. That doesn't really BOTHER me, but it's kinda dissapointing. I sure would like to HEAR from (or should I say, READ) you guys once in a while. Even if you just write something like, hey Toni, just stopped by to see what's up with you. Gimme a call. Drop me an email. Whatever.

So, maybe I will guilt you into posting. Maybe not. But maybe a good New Year's Resolution could be to start your OWN blog and let me know about it. I could be visiting YOU in 2007! :)

It's true a lot of people don't leave comments. It's a strange feeling. Keep going anyway!

Sometimes I have a certain person or persons in mind when I'm posting, and I get a comment back from an anonymous person who clearly didn't get what I meant--or because they don't know me they assume I'm more of an idiot than I really am. Or I'll get a comment back from someone else who I know would interpret what I wrote differently than I intended. Or I'll post something I think is worthy of comment but get no comment. That's actually all good feedback in different ways.

So hang in there, keep moving forward, we love your blog!

See now, I wasn't going to comment here, because you KNOW I usually do, and I felt like it defeated the purpose of what you said here.

But what the hell......

Just like Nancy said-keep on plugging. You never know what'll get people talking.

Well, thanks Nancy and Deb....you guys, we all know we can count on each others' frequent visits and periodic posts. This post actually had a couple of other specific targets. One of them being - okay, now I'm "outing" her - my Aunt Judy. :) But now that I re-read that post, it didn't sound as good-naturedly teasing as it was the intent. I'm hoping she (and the others who confessed to stopping by to check in on me and never posting) didn't take it as much a scolding, but more like a, hmmm, encouragement! yeah, that's the ticket! (thank you Jon Lovitz).

Oh, by the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR, AUNT JUDY!! I miss you!

Everyone, my Aunt Judy is the younger sister of my beloved and very much missed late mother. She lives down south and I haven't seen her in ages. Thank goodness for emails and blogs!
